4Construct is delighted to announce the successful and timely completion of our latest industrial refurbishment project in Coventry. This substantial undertaking involved the complete overhaul of a 20,000 square-foot facility, transforming it into a high-specification commercial space ready for its next operational chapter. The project was executed with our characteristic commitment to quality, efficiency, and minimal disruption.

From the outset, the scope of work was comprehensive, focusing on structural integrity, weatherproofing, and modernising the facility. A critical initial phase involved a full internal strip-out. This meticulous process cleared the vast interior, as captured in the accompanying photograph of the site manager, providing a clear canvas for the subsequent construction and fit-out phases. The image perfectly illustrates the scale of the empty hangar, showcasing the structural steel framework and the extensive floor area that was prepped for remediation. The bare shell provided an ideal environment to address core issues such as lighting, internal divisions, and utilities infrastructure.

A significant portion of the work focused on ensuring the building's longevity and energy efficiency, commencing with extensive roof works. The existing roofing material was fully replaced or significantly repaired, addressing years of wear and tear to guarantee complete waterproofing and improved insulation. Concurrently, the external envelope of the building received a major uplift.

The second attached image highlights the exceptional finish achieved on the exterior. Cladding works were paramount, involving the installation of new, durable industrial sheeting. In addition to the cladding, specialist teams executed detailed brickwork repairs. The lower section of the exterior, shown in the photograph, demonstrates the blend of robust, traditional brickwork with the new industrial cladding. All necessary repairs were meticulously wrapped up, ensuring a high standard of finish and structural soundness along the entire perimeter. This dual-focus approach—addressing both the vast roof and the surrounding walls—ensures that the client has received a fully protected and future-proofed industrial asset.
